For Patients and Families

Meet our Pawprints dogs!

Each Pawprints dog and handler makes their patient "rounds" at least twice a month. These "rounds" include visits with up to 10 patients, along with visiting parents, siblings, friends and Boston Children's Hospital staff. If the child requests, the dog may make a "bed visit" (the dog lays on a clean sheet on the bed) so the child may easily pet the dog. Visits typically occur in patient rooms, although some visits occur in activity rooms on the floor.

	My name is Duncan. I am a Bernese Mountain Dog or Berner for short. I like to chase the wild turkeys out of my yard to keep my family safe. My two favorite things are kids and puppies.	My name is Herman. I am a Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier. I was born in Ireland and I have a long beard. I really like rides in cars and on boats, but I am really scared of big trucks! I will do anything for ice cream, but I hate vegetables.

My name is Indy, short for Indiana Jones! I am a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. I love long ear scratches, even longer cuddles, making new friends, walks on the beach and action adventure movies!	My name is Karma. I am a Golden Doodle. My mom is a Standard Poodle and my Dad is a Golden Retriever. I like to be scratched and petted. I also like to chew on stuffed animals and take walks in the park.	My name is Jesse. I am a standard poodle and I think I am quite handsome. I love riding in cars, especially in the front seat. I like to run every day and love catching balls. I like to stay busy and sometimes get bored at home - so I am really happy to have a job as a Pawprints volunteer.

My name is Spankey. I am a Newfoundland mix. I love swimming, sleeping in the bathtub, going to doggie daycare, playing in the snow, & playing with my best friend Dudley. I love having my ears rubbed! Sometimes I forget I'm so big and will try to sit on your lap, but don't worry because I am truly a "gentle giant."	My name is Tucker. I am a West Highland White Terrier. I live with another Westie named Emma. I love to chase squirrels in my yard, go for long walks and watch Animal Planet.	My name is Tucker. I am an English Cream Golden Retriever and I was born in Arizona. I am always happy and I have a lot of energy! I like to play and run outdoors. I love people, other dogs, and socks!!
