Construction Notice: New elevators being built for Children’s outpatient clinics
In order to improve access to the outpatient clinics in Children's Hospital Boston's Fegan Building we are building a new set of elevators in the Pavilion area of our main hospital (see photos below).
Construction on these elevators began on December 19, 2011, at 6 p.m., and will be completed in the summer of 2013.
This work will require the closing of the restrooms located in the Pavilion area (see photos). The closest restrooms can be found in the Fegan Building in Rooms 106 and 107, across from Children’s Blood Draw Center.
In addition, a temporary partition will block access to the Hunnewell stairs, which are located near the Fegan lobby.
Visitors seeking access to the following programs or departments should use Hunnewell Elevator D to the floor indicated:
| NOPCO Brace Shop | Floor 1B |
| Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery | Floor 1B |
| Plastic Surgery | Floor 1B |
| Urology | Floor 3 |
For access to Dentistry, the Department of Medicine, or Neurosurgery, please take Hunnewell Elevator A in the Hunnewell Building's atrium.
For the Children’s Hospital Primary Care Center (CHPCC), please use the CHPCC external entrance located off of Children's Way.
The Safety Department will work with each unit to review safety impacts and temporary directional signage will be posted.
