Funding Assistance

This section includes information on funding sources for costs associated with chronic illness and/or lengthy hospitalizations. There are several organizations which fundraise specifically for children receiving transplants to cover the related costs and some organizations are disease/disorder specific. American Kidney Fund
Provides financial assistance, education, research and programs for patients with kidney disease

American Organ Transplant Association
Provides help with fundraising for transplantation costs

Catastrophic Illness in Children Relief Fund, MA
Massachusetts state program under Division for Special Health Needs at DPH providing financial assistance to MA families who have excessive expenses related to a child's (under 18) medical needs; can apply online

Children's Liver Association for Support Services
Organization dedicated to serving the emotional, educational, and financial needs of families coping with childhood liver disease and transplantation

Children's Organ Transplant Association
Provides help with fundraising for transplantation costs

Make a Wish Foundation
Grants wishes of children with life-threatening illness

National Transplant Assistance Fund
