An education website to help teen girls, their parents, teachers and health care providers understand normal health and development, and learn about specific diseases and conditions.
The Center for Young Women's Health (CYWH) is a collaboration between the Division of Adolescent/Young Adult Medicine and the Division of Gynecology at Boston Children's Hospital.
What we do
The CYWH is an education center for teen girls and young women, their families and health care providers. The Center provides:
- Carefully researched health information and resources at YoungWomensHealth.org
- Special health education programs and workshops by and for teens conducted at the Center and in the community
- Links to information about the expert medical care available at Boston Children's Hospital
Our mission is to help teen girls, their parents, teachers and health care providers improve their understanding of normal health and development, as well as learn about specific diseases and conditions.
Young Men's Health (YMH) is a website that provides health information for teen boys and young men. Topics include:
- Body piercing
- Fast food facts
- Emergency contraception
The site is produced by the Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine at Boston Children's Hospital along with a teen advisory committee.
Boston Children's Hospital's Experience Journal website is a collection of stories, pictures, and personal experiences from families about what it has been like to live with their children's heart disease. It represents the "collective wisdom" of these children and their parents as well as their health care providers.
Psychiatrist-in-Chief David DeMaso, MD, and his colleagues have designed the Experience Journal as a resource for patients and their families who are looking for insights from other people who have been in situations similar to their own.
Experience Journal Topics
The Experience Journal consists of five sections with experiences relating to five different pediatric conditions, with more to come:
