The Arts at Boston Children's Hospital | Seacrest Studios

Seacrest Studios at Boston Children’s Hospital opened in November 2014 thanks to a partnership with the Ryan Seacrest Foundation.

Here at Seacrest Studios we encourage patient and family participation during all of our live programs, whether in person, in the studio space, or from the bedside. Patients can call 5-RYAN when we are broadcasting live, on channel 19- The Hub, the hospitals closed-circuit TV system, to interact with other patients, studio staff, and guests. All of our programming is created either by or for patients and we strive to offer opportunities that span all ages and interests! Our state-of-the-art studio allows our team to create and share unique multimedia experiences with the entire hospital community!

Seacrest Studios produces 20+ hours of live shows, Monday-Friday, each week and our programming ranges from music request hours to game shows to celebrity guest visits and more! Patients can make song requests, participate in games, or be a guest host. Patients get an opportunity to explore their creativity and hidden talents on air either in the studio or from the comfort of their patient rooms. Our program is all about giving patients opportunities to learn, try new things, interact and experience the normalcy of childhood!

Seacrest Studios collaborates with many disciplines within the hospital as well as outside talents and celebrities. Music Therapy, Child Life Services, Artist-in-Residence, the Laughter League, the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, the Wellness Program, and Dentistry are some of the many hospital programs and departments contributing to studio programming. We also have great community partnerships with organizations like the New England Aquarium, NASA, NPR's From the Top, Dream Fetchers, ImprovBoston, and the Rhode Island International Film Festival. The patients have also been able to meet many local and national celebrities through Seacrest Studios like Ed Sheeran, Meghan Trainor, Shawn Mendes, Olympic Medalist Aly Raisman, Charlie Puth, Alessia Cara, Michael Franti, Dustin Lynch, Andy Grammer, The Patriots, and many more!
