Experience and Education

Professional History

Maria DaRocha, RN, MSN, CPNP joined the Interventional Radiology team in January, 2015. She was hired to work in conjunction with the Vascular Anomalies Team. Maria started as a clinical assistant at Boston Children’s in 2008 and knew that working with children and families would be her calling. She was eager to start in her nursing journey and earned her bachelor’s degree from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Heath Sciences in 2006 through an accelerated BSN program. She worked as a staff nurse on the orthopedic/surgical service for over four years before graduating from Northeastern University with her PNP.  She is bilingual in English and Spanish and has a new-found interest in the highly-specialized incredible world of Vascular Anomalies.

We are grateful to have been ranked #1 on U.S. News & World Report's list of the best children's hospitals in the nation for the third year in a row, an honor we could not have achieved without the patients and families who inspire us to do our very best for them. Thanks to you, Boston Children's is a place where we can write the greatest children's stories ever told.”
