Positive autism screens in ex-preterm infants

iPods and similar devices found not to affect pacemaker function
A study that tested iPods and mp3 players against active pacemakers and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs) found them to cause no interference with intrinsic device functions. The research findings, appearing in the April 2008 issue of the journal Heart Rhythm, contradict a widely reported study from May 2007 that linked iPods to pacemaker malfunctions. More...
New data show a declining incidence of cystic fibrosis since introduction of prenatal carrier screening
Researchers have found what may be the first population-based demonstration in the U.S. of a decline in the number of babies born with a genetic disease after the introduction of prenatal carrier screening.
