Magnet Community Meeting, October 24

Tuesday October 24 starting at 5:30pm through 6:45pm Boston Children’s will be hosting a community meeting with three -nurse appraisers from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Magnet Recognition Program® in the Patient Entertainment Center. This meeting is open to BCH patient/families and other community members.

As background, Boston Children’s Hospital was designated as a Magnet organization in 2008 and re-designated in 2012 by the ANCC. Magnet designation is bestowed upon health care organizations in recognition of high quality patient care, nursing excellence, collaborative interprofessional practice, effective community partnerships, and innovations in professional nursing practice. Currently only 8% of hospitals within the United States have earned this prestigious designation.
