Advocacy
Members of Boston Children's Hospital's Community Benefits team (including the Office of Government Relations and the Office of Child Advocacy) work tirelessly and effectively to enlighten policy makers at all levels on the impact that research, care and medical education has on our youth.
In their efforts, they call upon the expertise and passion of specialists throughout Boston Children's who bring extensive data and clinical testimony to each issue. Examples include:
- improving school nutrition in Massachusetts
- supporting local coalitions like the Boston Public Health Commission
- supporting the Boston Bicycle Show
- securing funding for obesity prevention and legislating consensus for a sugary beverage tax at the federal level
