Entry into the United States
US-VISIT is part of a continuum of security measures that begins overseas, when a person applies for a visa to travel to the United States, and continues on through entry and exit at US air and seaports and, eventually, at land border crossings. Please visit the Department of Homeland Security site for specific information about US-VISIT formalities and requirments.
Pre-Arranged Airport Patient Assistance
All requests for assistance at Logan Airport must be received by Children's International Center at least 48 hours in advance of your departure. It is essential that you provide us with the name of the airline and the flight number, your departure and arrival times, the names of all family members traveling with you, and your primary language. It is best if you forward this information to us as soon as you have confirmed your travel plans. If you make any subsequent changes to these plans, please make sure to contact the International Center with the updated information.

Upon your arrival at Logan International Airport you will be greeted at a predetermined point by a Logan Airport Patient Assistant who speaks your native language. The Patient Assistant will help you and your family with special needs, such as a wheelchair, and escort you to your ground transportation.

To request assistance at Logan Airport, please contact your patient representative at the Children's International Center at (617) 355-5209 or by email. Requests must be made three days prior to your arrival in the U.S.

If you do not request airport assistance or do not ask to have ground transportation arranged for you, please make sure to contact the International Center at 617-355-5209, as soon as you and your family arrive at your hotel or the place where you will be staying. It is essential that the International Center know your location while in Boston. It is not unusual for your physicians at Children's Hospital Boston to need to contact you at some point during your stay, and the International Center is required to keep this information up to date.
