Like any parent, you want only what is best for your child. And if that means traveling thousands of miles so your child has access to the very best medical care you will do so if possible.
But it is not easy to be far from home, loved ones and familiar surroundings - particularly when you are concerned about your child's well being. It is especially difficult if you are not familiar with the language, culture and medical system of the country to which you will be traveling and are unsure of what to expect, where to stay, and to whom to turn for assistance and support.
The International Center at Children's Hospital Boston is here to help. We serve as your point of entry to the hospital, to Boston, and to the United States. We coordinate all of the many, but necessary, details involved in arranging for and receiving medical care at Children's, as well as helping you to establish a temporary "home away from home," so that you can focus on what is truly important - caring for your child.
