Global Pediatric Fellowship in Health Service Delivery
The Department of Medicine’s Global Health Fellowship is a two-year training program in which fellows rotate in six-month blocks between a field placement (past field sites have included Haiti, Rwanda, Liberia, Indonesia and Laos) and a clinical placement at Boston Children’s Hospital and affiliated community sites. The focus of the fellowship is skills training in global health service delivery, including skills in clinical care, medical education, program development, management, evaluation, quality improvement and implementation focused research.

Global Neurosurgery Fellow - iPath Fellowship
Boston Children’s neurosurgeon and director of Neonatal and Congenital Anomaly Neurosurgery Benjamin Warf, MD, directs a training fellowship offered by the International Program to Advance the Treatment of Hydrocephalus (iPATH). The purpose of the program is to prepare neurosurgeons to effectively treat hydrocephalus in developing nations, particularly through the use of endoscopic third ventriculostomy to reduce dependence on shunts. iPATH fellows spend a minimum of three months receiving intensive hands-on training in Mbale, Uganda.

Paul Farmer Global Surgery Fellowship
The Paul Farmer Global Surgery Fellowship (PFGSF) at Boston Children’s Hospital aims to advance to the quality and accessibility of surgical care for some of the world’s poorest patients. This is done in a multilateral, collaborative approach, working with partners in a variety of different countries to employ diverse techniques with which to achieve this goal.

Global Nursing Fellowship
The Department of Nursing’s Global Health Fellowship is a one-year fellowship open to current Boston Children’s Hospital nursing staff.
This fellowship provides structure and protected time for nurses with a desire to develop new skills in global health (such as leadership, project design and implementation science) to expand their experience and advance their careers in nursing through high- quality and high-impact global health projects.

Global Pharmacy Fellow
The Global Pharmacy Fellowship is a newly created fellowship for existing Boston Children’s Hospital Pharmacists. Similar to the Global Nursing Fellowship, the Global Pharmacy Fellowship will enable existing staff to have funds and protected time to participate in high-quality and high-impact global health projects.
