There are a number of monitors, pumps, and equipment in a standard Cardiac ICU bedspace. An area near the window converts to a sleep space so that a parent may stay with the child during the ICU admission. There is a lockable storage unit, wireless computer access, and a curtain for privacy.

Either during the preoperative visit, or when families arrive on the unit, they receive a pamphlet with parent and visitor information.
