The Outpatient Clinic, 1930s
Children's managers organized the Department of Outpatients in 1874 and rented a small house for the clinic in 1875. The value and success of this department was continually reflected in the increasing census of patients. This 1930s photograph shows a long line of patients and parents and wooden benches, a scene very familiar to many families.
