Before Heading to the OR
In the Pre-Op Holding area I met the anesthesiologist who would be taking care of me in the Operating Room (OR). He explained again how he would give me a medication (called anesthesia) to make sure I stayed asleep and felt no pain during the operation. Typically, teens receive anesthesia through a small IV. You can talk to your anesthesiologist if you have any questions or concerns.
