When my operation was finished, I was moved to the Post Anesthesia Care Unit, which is also known as the PACU or recovery room. I first met my PACU nurse and shortly after my Dad came in to see me. My PACU nurse monitored how I was doing and asked if I had any pain or discomfort. After surgery it is very helpful to let your nurse know how you are feeling so they can help you.
