Waking Up in the PACU Waking Up in the PACU

After your operation, you will go to the Post Anesthesia Care Unit, which is also known as the PACU or recovery room. This is the room where you will see your parent(s)/ guardian(s) and a nurse. Your PACU nurse will monitor how you are doing and ask if you have any pain or discomfort. After an operation, it is normal to feel tired and sore. Your PACU nurse can help you feel better.
