Once you are in the OR, the anesthesiologist will start to give you medicine, called anesthesia, through a mask. This is a special kind of medicine that you breathe in, just like air. You will smell the flavor you picked out. The anesthesia medicine will make you sleep through your whole operation. You will wake up when your operation is over.
