For children participating in CAI after one year, recent data reflects the number of emergency department visits at Children's was reduced by 67 percent and hospital admissions by 84 percent. In addition, lost school days were reduced by 41 percent and missed work days (parents/caregivers) by 55 percent.

CAI is happy to report that Marquis has significantly improved his asthma management, has missed less school days and has experienced a decrease in hospital admissions.

He continues to excel in school, play basketball, sing in his church choir, play the drums, and has even tried out for American Idol!
