In October 2003 Children’s Hospital Boston opened its new
325,000 square-foot research building.
- There are five floors of parking, 12 floors of research space
and three floors for mechanical equipment.
- It is home to a new Level-3 Core Lab for the study of infectious
and biological agents.
- It has labs for hematology/oncology, endocrinology, vascular
biology, immunology, transfusion medicine, ophthalmology, stem
cell/developmental biology and molecular biology.
- There will be space for 1,134,000 zebra fish in the New Research
Building.
