Dr. Kieval first became interested in psychology while working in summer camp programs for children with disabilities. He completed his graduate education in clinical psychology at Rutgers University. While there, he trained at the Douglass Developmental Disabilities Center and the New York State Psychiatric Institute. He was a predoctoral intern at Children’s Hospital Colorado in the developmental disabilities track, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at JFK Partners, University of Colorado School of Medicine, where he was also a Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) fellow. David's clinical and research interests include autism spectrum disorders, social inclusion, behavior consultation, program evaluation, comorbid psychiatric and developmental disorders, and family therapy.
