Philosophy of Care

Evidence-based research overwhelmingly suggests that physical activity is one of the best things we can do for our health. Carving out any amount of time for exercise in our day or week is incredibly beneficial for both our body and our mind. Yoga is both physical movement and meditation that is inclusive, safe and flexible- pun intended!- for anyone to benefit from, and that is what encouraged me to become certified and offer yoga to participants in our Cardiac Fitness Program.


I started academia as a health-conscious athlete who loved science. In my professional role at the BCH Heart Center I am responsible for independently administering non-invasive, diagnostic stress testing in the comprehensive evaluation and coordinated care of patients with congenital heart defects and heart-related disease.
