Dr. Lisa Vopat is a primary care sports medicine physician who is board-certified in emergency medicine with a subspecialty certification in Sports Medicine. Her practice focuses on pediatric and adult sports medicine, concussion management and sports injury prevention. Dr. Vopat is originally from Danvers, Massachusetts. She received her undergraduate and medical degrees from The University of Kansas graduating in the top of her class. She went on to complete her Emergency Medicine Residency at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island before seeking additional specialized training in Sports Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Vopat has provided medical coverage for numerous venues including Disney Cruise Lines, the Boston Marathon, U.S. Figure Skating, the Boston Ballet and Northeastern University Men’s Ice Hockey. She has published book chapters on sideline emergency care in young athletes including a recent publication in The International Olympic Committee Manual of Emergency Sports Medicine. Dr. Vopat has been an invited lecturer on Concussion Management and is part of Boston Children’s Hospital’s Multidisciplinary Concussion Clinic.
