PROFESSIONAL HISTORY

My early academic and clinical experiences and academic path seemed to lead me to pediatric psychology organically. I began my formal education and psychology at the University of Scranton, where psychology's blend of science and practice appealed to both my intellectual curiosity and my desire to facilitate health and well-being in the lives of young people. I earned my doctorate in clinical psychology at the University of Rhode Island, with a focus in child, family, and development psychology. During my graduate education, I pursued clinical training experiences in childhood anxiety and in pediatric health psychology at Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence, RI, followed by my pre-doctoral residency in Pediatric Psychology at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. I completed my post-doctoral fellowship training at Boston Children's Hospital. These experiences prepared me well for my current position as a staff psychologist at the Mayo Family Pediatric Pain Rehabilitation Center (PPRC), an interdisciplinary day hospital treatment program for young people with chronic pain.
