After graduating from Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, NY in 1991, Dr. Pergament completed his Pediatric training in Boston at Tufts Medical Center-Boston Floating Hospital for Children. During his clinical rotations at North Shore Medical Center in Salem, he became enamored with the region north of Boston. Upon completing training, Dr. Pergament joined Pediatric Health Care Associates as a full time general pediatrician, where he has been engaged with families on the North Shore for more than 25 years.

Dr. Pergament's clinical interests include care of premature and high risk infants, with experience working in the Special Care Nurseries at both North Shore Medical Center and Melrose/Wakefield Hospital. As well, Dr. Pergament is an expert in the build and design of the Epic Electronic Health Record, and has utilized these skills in the implementation and maintenance of the system currently in use by the physicians of the Boston Children's Primary Care Alliance. His goal is to make the system more manageable for the clinicians, enhancing the care they provide to their patients, and to improve the ability for patients and their families to better interact with their health care providers.

Practicing primary care Pediatrics has afforded me the opportunity to help children grow and develop into successful, thriving young adults. Being a part of this process is one of the most fulfilling aspects of my practice of medicine.
