Philosophy of Care

As a child, my visits to the doctor were always embodied by a soothing feeling that lasted for days. I grew with the ideal that one day I would stand in the provider place, empowering myself to grant others likewise comfort and peacefulness.

When I became a doctor, it was clear that studying the brain is like opening a window into a person’s soul. As a neurologist, it is a wonderful privilege to help heal what is injured while marveling at what is thriving.

PROFESSIONAL HISTORY

I have undergone full training in general adult and pediatric neurology; with additional specialized training in movement disorders. In addition, I have been involved in medical education, earning awards such as the teaching resident of the year and currently participating in a funded research project by the American Academy of Neurology.

As part of my unique training background, I am in a singular position to address the needs of children and adults with complex neurological disorders, in particular movement disorders. I hope to develop a solid clinical research program for patients with pediatric movement disorders and improve the quality of care of all patients with neurological issues as they transition into adulthood.
