PROFESSIONAL HISTORY

Amy L. Hughes, M.D. is a graduate of Boston College and Loyola University-Stritch School of Medicine. She completed otolaryngology training at the University of Connecticut and completed her fellowship in pediatric otolaryngology at Boston Children’s Hospital in 2014.

Her principal clinical interests are in the management of salivary gland disorders and the management of drooling.  She has participated in national and international training courses on sialendoscopy, a technology that allows us to examine our patient’s salivary ducts for blockages such as stones or narrowed areas called strictures.  She would also like to start a multi-disciplinary clinic to improve management of drooling in our complex patients.
