Dr. Robert Amler also treats exposure to environmental toxicants such as asthma triggers, solvents, PFAS, lead, mercury, pesticides, arsenic, chlorine, dioxin, molds
Dr. Amler joined General Pediatrics at BCHP (CWPW) in 2005 and transferred to the Pulmonology group in 2020. He is Dean of the School of Health Sciences and Practice at New York Medical College and Professor of Public Health, Pediatrics, and Environmental Health Science. Previously he was U.S. Regional Health Administrator and Chief Medical Officer of CDC’s Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry, where he secured Congressional funding for the national network of Pediatric Environmental Health Specialty Units (PEHSU).
Dr. Allen Dozor and he launched the Children’s Environmental Health Center of the Hudson Valley (CEHCHV) in 2007 and introduced environmental medicine consults. He enjoys family time devoted to music, skiing, and water sports.
