Mary Beth Sylvia, MS, RN, FNP-BC, holds a BSN and MS in Nursing Administration with postgraduate certification as a family nurse practitioner from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. She is certified as a family nurse practitioner by ANCC. Her nursing career has included management positions in maternal-child nursing and nursing systems. Her clinical experience as an FNP includes college health and both family and pediatric primary care. Since 2004, she has held positions in Interventional Radiology and the Vascular Anomalies Center at Boston Children’s Hospital, specializing in the care of children and adults with vascular anomalies. During her tenure at Boston Children’s, she has spoken at local and national conferences and written several papers about the care of patients with vascular anomalies.
