At Boston Children’s Hospital, we are continually learning from our experiences with patients, evaluating the most current data, studying the causes of diseases and new treatments, and aim to develop innovative methods for caring for kids.

Our Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery team has developed a comprehensive research program focused on developing new techniques and increasing the knowledge of common conditions. Our aim is to translate the knowledge gained in the laboratory back to the clinic in order to improve care for your child. Some of the areas we are currently studying include:

  • orthognathic surgery
  • temporomandibular joint disorders
  • improving clinical trials

The bottom line: Our research results in innovative treatments that help your child recover faster.

We are grateful to have been ranked #1 on U.S. News & World Report's list of the best children's hospitals in the nation for the third year in a row, an honor we could not have achieved without the patients and families who inspire us to do our very best for them. Thanks to you, Boston Children's is a place where we can write the greatest children's stories ever told.”
