Which foods and ingredients must a shellfish-allergic person watch out for?

Avoid foods with any of the following ingredients:

  • Abalone
  • Clam (including cherrystone, littleneck, pismo and quahog)
  • Crab
  • Crawfish, crayfish, ecrivesse and crawdads.
  • Lobster, langouste, langousine, scampo, coral and tomalley
  • Musselcs
  • Oysters
  • Scallops
  • Mollusks
  • Shrimps, prawns and crevett
  • Cockles, periwinkles and sea urchins
