Division of Noninvasive Cardiac Imaging
The Division of Non-Invasive Cardiac Imaging at Children's Hospital Boston specializes in Echocardiography and Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). The division has long been a world leader in advanced cardiac imaging of congenital and acquired pediatric heart disease, providing diagnostic imaging services throughout the institution. We are committed to providing the highest quality clinical care to our patient, to train the next generation of experts in noninvasive cardiac imaging, and to pursue innovations and discovery that lead to more accurate, less invasive, and less costly diagnosis. The division is headed by Tal Geva, MD and staffed by 20 specialists. The division performs approximately 20,000 echocardiograms each year, including transthoracic, transesphageal, stress, and fetal echocardiograms, utilizing the latest cardiac ultrasound techniques. The cardiovascular MRI laboratory performs approximately 1,000 examinations each year using a dedicated state-of-the-art 1.5 Telsa scanner.
