The Pulmonary Hypertension Program at Children's has been very actively involved in therapeutic trials of new therapies for pulmonary hypertension.
We have participated in prospective trials of inhaled nitric oxide, sildenafil, bosentan, and ambrisentan. Current therapeutic trials include evaluation of a new, more efficient way of delivering inhaled iloprost, study of the long-term effects of sildenafil and ambrisentan, and evaluation of a new drug designed treat pulmonary hypertension in a new way.
