About Us
When your child comes to Children's Hospital Boston for heart surgery, you can be assurred that he will receive the best care possible. Our dedicated cardiac surgeons are among the best in the world, and they work with a team of devoted professionals whose primary concern is providing world-class care for each patient.

Children's Cardiac Surgery Department is comprised of six top surgeons who are dedicated exclusively to patients with congenital heart disease, along with a cardiac anesthesia team specializing in anesthesia for children who are having heart surgery, and cardiovascular nurses and technicians specifically trained in caring for children having heart surgery.

Children's has three operating rooms reserved specifically for heart surgeries. There is also a 28-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit devoted soley to providing critial care services to children with heart conditions, an inpatient unit exclusively for children who are cardiac patients, and state-of-the art cardiac catheterization laboratories.
