The Cardiovascular Program is one of the reasons Children's Hospital Boston is known for saving children's lives. Children's is a world leader in pediatric cardiology and cardiovascular surgery, and is responsible for dramatically improving the survival rate for children with heart defects.
Cardiology Team
Since 1938, when Robert Gross, MD, performed the first-ever repair of a congenital heart defect in a child, Children's cardiovascular surgeons and cardiologists have been solving heart problems previously believed too complicated to correct.

At the heart of Children's Hospital Boston's Cardiovascular Program:
