Cardiovascular Program

The Cardiovascular Program at Children's Hospital Boston is a world leader in pediatric cardiology and cardiac surgery, and has pioneered treatments that have dramatically improved the survival rate for fetuses, infants, children, teens and adults with congenital heart defects or acquired heart defects.

Despite treating some of the toughest cases in the world, the Cardiovascular Program at Children's Hospital Boston has the highest success rate for cardiac surgery among large pediatric cardiac centers.

		Heart Valve Implanted in Boy With Swine Flu Doctors at Children's Hospital Boston said they successfully implanted an experimental heart valve in a 4-year-old boy with a congenital heart defect to relieve potentially fatal complications caused by the H1N1 flu virus.
