Refugee Trauma and Resilience Center
Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions (FAQs)
Can I refer my child/client to your center?
The Center for Refugee Trauma and Resilience does not provide direct care to refugees with the exception of those who are identified as members of our demonstration projects (link to ‘Intervention and Prevention’). Following is a list of local resources that you may find helpful in finding services for refugee youth. Add link: http://www.chcrtr.org/resources.html
How can I volunteer to help out at the Center?
We are not currently accepting volunteers but will post any opportunities on the Children’s Hospital volunteer website.
Can I donate money to the Center?
If you would like to donate to our Center please contact Olivia Pennock (857-218-3135) or Olivia.pennock@chtrust.org at the Children’s Hospital Trust.
What cultural and ethnic groups do you work with?
Our goal is to conduct research and services that will help refugees from all cultural and ethnic groups. Because we take a community-based participatory research approach, we have tended to focus our work on the Somali community, with whom we have developed a strong partnership. The ultimate goal of this work, however, is to inform services for refugee and immigrants from many cultural groups and our work is not exclusive to any one group.
