Your appointment
At Boston Children’s Hospital, we consider you to be a central part of your child’s care team. We will work together with you to evaluate your child’s condition and to develop the best treatment plan for her.
At your first appointment in the Neurology department, we will depend on you to help us get to know your child and her condition. Please take the time to fill out any forms we send you. These will help us better understand your concerns and questions and your child’s medical history. Some of these forms are also available below. Note that many subspecialty programs use different forms.

We may also ask you to send medical records from previous evaluations your child may have had at other facilities.
On the day of your appointment, it is important that you allow 30-45 minutes to park and register. Directions are available here. Please note that if you are late, we may need to reschedule your appointment.
If you are coming to one of our subspecialty programs, please visit that program’s “Your appointment” tab for program-specific information about how to get ready for your appointment.
If you are coming to our laboratories for a diagnostic test, you and your child probably have a lot of questions about what to expect. Visit our Resources page for information about these tests, including a slideshow of a patient undergoing a test.
Our technologists specialize in working with children: Your child will be tested by someone who is dedicated to providing excellent, compassionate care for your child. You can stay with your child throughout testing.
If you have billing and insurance questions prior to your visit please contact our Business Office at 617-919-4330.
