Research and innovation

The 325,000 square-foot Karp Family Research Building opened its doors October 2003.While we are learning more about the cause and treatment of EGIDs, a lot remains uncertain. The EGID Program at Children’s Hospital Boston is actively involved in cutting edge research with basic science, clinical and translational studies.

You may be offered the opportunity to participate in a study. Please know that while conducting research is a very important mission of our program, your child’s care in the EGID Program will never be compromised should you decline to participate.
