Cardiac Neurodevelopmental Program
Caring for the whole child
Boston Children's Hospital is home to a dedicated Cardiac Neurodevelopmental Program. We provide comprehensive consultation, assessment and intervention services for children with congenital heart disease and their families.

-
As more children with heart problems survive cardiac surgery, doctors are realizing that some have challenges in their development and learning skills.
-
Psychologists and neurologists are working with cardiologists and surgeons to improve developmental outcomes after surgery for congenital heart defects.
- As one of only a handful of cardiac neurodevelopmental services in the U.S., our program strives to meet these patients' complex needs by delivering expert, multidisciplinary care in a compassionate, family-centered environment.
