Clinical Services:
Thyroid Program
The Thyroid Program at Children's is one of the only centers in the United States exclusively devoted to the care of children with thyroid diseases. The program's Thyroid Nodule Clinic is one of the largest pediatric practices of its type in the United States.
Who we treat
The Thyroid Program cares for infants, children and adolescents with all types of thyroid disease, including:
Comprehensive care
The program is staffed by an experienced team of clinicians, all with specialized training in the care of children with thyroid problems. In order to provide best multidisciplinary care, the endocrinologists and nurses of the Thyroid Program work closely with other specialists, including:
  • surgeons
  • radiologists
  • oncologists
  • pathologists

Because most pediatric thyroid disorders are life-long, we also work closely with thyroid specialists at Brigham and Women's Hospital and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, when appropriate, to ensure that our patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care through adulthood.
