Who we are

Neurologists at Children’s Hospital Boston will evaluate your child’s headaches and any related medical conditions to determine the type of headache your child is suffering and investigate the possible cause or causes for the pain. Once the evaluation is complete, we develop a therapeutic plan to lessen your child’s headaches and help you all to return to your normal lives.

We offer:

A comprehensive approach: Each patient is seen by a neurologist who specializes in diagnosing and managing pediatric headaches. These doctors work in collaboration with other specialists at Children’s to formulate the best treatment plan tailored to your child’s specific needs.

For children with chronic headaches that are especially challenging to manage, we have a clinic in Waltham that takes a multi-disciplinary approach to care. You can read more about this on our Multi-Disciplinary Headache Clinic page. 

At every step, we take the time to learn everything we can about your child’s condition, talk with you about our recommendations, and address your questions. We also coordinate your child’s headache management with the his or her primary care provider, who remains an essential member of the pain management team.

Convenient locations: Our headache specialists see patients in our Boston, Waltham, Lexington and Peabody locations. They also see patients at  Boston Children's Physicians South in Weymouth.
