WBZ's Mallika Marshall, MD reports on the opening of the new Pediatric Pain Rehabilitation Center
The Mayo Family Pediatric Pain Rehabilitation Center (PPRC) is an intensive rehabilitation program that serves the needs of children and adolescents with chronic musculoskeletal and neuropathic pain. Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), also known as Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD), is the most common diagnosis given to children referred to our center.

The PPRC is the the most comprehensive stand-alone, day hospital program of its kind in the United States, offering intensive multidisciplinary rehabilitation to children and adolescents who have not responded to traditional outpatient treatment.

Program participants are typically between 7 and 18 years old.

The PPRC is located at Children's Hospital Boston at Waltham. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
