Clinical Services:
Atopic Dermatitis Center
The Atopic Dermatitis Center at Children's Hospital Boston provides care to children and adolescents with severe atopic dermatitis (also called eczema) and food allergies.
Team Approach
Our clinic is staffed by a team of specialists who collaborate in the evaluation and care of your child. This team approach ensures that your child's treatment plan is carefully developed and coordinated.

Our team includes:

  • A pediatric allergist who is responsible for your child's care.

  • A pediatric nurse practitioner who manages all of your child's care and works closely with the pediatric allergist.

  • Pediatric nurses who provide care for your child and teach you about your child's illness. They may complete an allergy skin test or breathing test on your child.

  • A pediatric psychologist or behavioral therapist who help your child learn ways to cope with the itching and scratching.

  • A pediatric nutritionist who may meet with you to review your child's diet.

Your child may meet with some or all of these specialists.
