The success and growth of the Program to Enhance Relational & Communication Skills (PERCS) led to the establishment of the Institute for Professionalism & Ethical Practice (IPEP) at Children's Hospital Boston in March 2007.

We are pleased to announce that Elaine C. Meyer, PhD, RN, has recently been named the Director of IPEP. Elaine has served as the Director of PERCS since its inception and her leadership has been central to the work of the Institute.

What we do

Since 2002, our team has been pioneering innovative educational strategies to address clinicians' communication skills and relational capacities.

With increased funding and hospital support, IPEP will add administrative support, enhance its research programs and expand its educational offerings to clinicians at Children's and beyond. A new and expanded website will be available soon!

It is one in a series of films, offering rich and evocative portrayals of children, families, and professional caregivers, that is available for purchase from the IPPC website.
