Image Our health care team understands that the hospitalization of your child can be a difficult experience. We are here to help you and your family and answer any of your questions and concerns.

While we all have different roles in the care of your child, we work together to make sure your child's stay is as comfortable as possible.

  Team Members
Attending Physician The most senior doctor on the team that manages your child's care.
Charge Nurse Responsible for the coordination of clinical care on the unit and is available to meet patients and families if needed.
Child Life Specialist Works with volunteers to organize play and can inform you of other activities in the Patient Entertainment Center.
Clinical Assistant Cares for your child under the direction of a nurse.
Fellow A doctor with advanced training in a specialty.
Nurse Works closely with all members of the team to plan and carry out your child's care 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week.
Nurse Director Responsible for the management and leadership of the unit and its staff. Available to speak with families as requested.
Nurse Manager Unit leader responsible for the daily clinical and administrative needs of the unit.
Nurse Practitioner Provides continuity and assists with the coordination of care for your child. Also responsible for education of patients and families.
Patient Care Coordinator Works with the nursing staff to make sure all the home care needs and supplies are handled before your child leaves the hospital.
Primary Nurse/Team Leader Coordinates your child's care throughout the hospital stay.
Resident A doctor with training in pediatrics.
Social Worker Helps families with the stress they often feel when a child is in the hospital.
Unit Secretary/
Admin. Assistant
Answers questions and helps you with services you may need.
