Once again, the Pediatric Transplant Center Team for NSTAR's Walk for Children's Hospital Boston was the top fundraising team for the hospital! The team raised over $50,000! The walk was held on Sunday, June 8, 2008 along the Charles River. Check out the efforts of a PTC transplant recipient featured by the Walk Team! 100% of donations to the Pediatric Transplant Center Team will go into a PTC account to benefit transplant patients and families. The majority of proceeds will help support those families in financial need of necessities such as immunosuppression medications, lodging and food, among other things. A smaller portion of the contributions will go towards our 2nd Annual Family Celebration Day - an event designed to bring patients and their families together outside of the hospital to celebrate and learn more about transplant care.
