Transplantation at Children's Hospital Boston is an interdisciplinary effort between medical and surgical programs. Each transplant program is supported by a rigorous ambulatory service for pre and post-operative care, a full service laboratory and radiology services for diagnostic and monitoring studies of patients. Qualified medical and surgical faculty, residents and experienced nursing staff manage the day-to-day transplant patient care. Social work, child life, psychiatry, pharmacy, infectious disease, nutrition and other clinical support programs also serve as integral components of each transplant program.
