The Pediatric Transplant Center hosted its second annual Family Celebration Day on Sunday, September 21, 2008, at Kimball Farm in Westford, MA. Over 200 transplant recipients, family members and PTC staff members took part in the event which was designed to bring patients and their families together outside of the hospital to celebrate and learn more about transplant care. Families enjoyed a barbeque lunch and ice cream sundae buffet and had the opportunity to play miniature golf, ride the bumper boats, and try their luck at the driving range or pitch and putt course. Child Life Specialists organized transplant-focused games like Dan, Dan the Organ Man Bean Bag Toss, medical play and Transplant Bingo.
