Welcome to the Pediatric Transplant Center (PTC) at Children's Hospital Boston.

Our Conference on A Multidisciplinary Approach to Pediatric Solid Organ Transplantation was a great success. To view the presentations from the conference, please click here

The PTC is one of the most advanced transplant centers in the country, distinguished by its combination of program breadth, clinical depth and strong collaboration. At our transplant center, world-renowned physicians, experienced nurses and a staff of specialized supporting clinicians work together to give your child the best possible care.

  • Our experience, marked by more than 30 years of groundbreaking innovation and leading-edge research, means optimal outcomes for the children we care for.
  • Our compassion ensures a comfortable, emotionally-supportive experience for every child and family we see.
  • Our approach is comprehensive. Our diagnoses and treatments are grounded in the most advanced understanding of pediatric transplantation anywhere.
  • Our promise is simple: to work with families, children and one another to deliver the world’s best care—before, during and after your child's transplanttation.
Our center brings together experts who specialize in these programs: Each program is supported by a full-service laboratory and radiology services for diagnosing and monitoring your child. Our transplant teams have access to all medical specialties in the hospital for consultations, such as neurology, orthopedics and occupational and physical therapy.
  • We work closely with families and a wide array of hospital support services to ensure that you have a positive and informed experience.
  • Our Center for Families is dedicated to helping every family find the information and resources they need to understand their child's medical condition and take part in their care.
  • Our Child Life specialists help patients adjust to the hospital experience. They will help your child cope with her illness and will address any developmental issues she may have.
Most importantly, our physicians, nurses and support team actively share knowledge, ensuring that your child's treatment and follow-up care involves the very best methods.
Did you know?
Our Transplantation Research Center (TRC), affiliated with nearby Brigham and Women's Hospital, provides a rare environment for the collaboration of scientists and physicians from both institutions in the areas of transplantation and immunology. The TRC is intended to share new knowledge and speed results gained from research into innovative and improved approaches to the care of transplant patients.
